The coffee from El Salvador has the typical characteristics of central-american coffees. The best quality is called SHG(strictly high grown) and indicates that is grown at a height above 1200 meters. Just as in Guatemala and Costa Rica, the coffee is classified according to the height of the plantations: the higher the plantation the better the quality.
